Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to preserve and enhance the property of our community by maintaining the common ground areas, and upholding our covenants, By-Laws and Design Guidelines. The Board will serve the homeowners by taking a fair, ethical and objective approach in representing the interests of all homeowners. Heritage Highlands will be maintained as a safe, friendly and enjoyable place to live. We will enforce the Association Covenants, By-Laws and Design while providing ethical and fiscally responsible solutions to promote a sense of community, enhance our property values, and plan for the future.

Code of Ethics

The HOA Board and all committee members shall:

Serve the best interests of the Association as a whole, regardless of their personal interests.

Use sound judgment to make the best possible business decisions for the Association, taking into consideration all available information, circumstances, and resources

Act within the boundaries of their authority as defined by law and the Association's governing documents

Provide opportunities for residents to comment on decisions facing the Association

Perform their duties without bias for or against any individual or group of owners or nonowner residents

Disclose personal or professional relationships with any company or individual who has or is seeking to have a  business relationship with the Association

Conduct open, fair and well-publicized elections

HOA Guiding Principles for HOA Board Members

  • Take a fair, ethical and objective approach in representing the interests of all homeowners
  • Communicate with homeowners in a timely manner through appropriate mediums
  • Conduct business with transparency by providing regular financial statements, meeting agendas and minutes to the homeowners
  • Make and implement responsible decisions regarding the use of funds and assets belonging to the Association.
  • Uphold the Covenants, By-Laws, Design Guidelines and policies of the Association
  • Protect and enhance the value of our neighborhood by maintaining all common areas
  • Treat every issue which comes before the Board with respect
  • Ensure that all additions/changes to lots, homes, and property in the community will preserve and/or enhance the value of our properties as a whole as outlined in our Design Guidelines
  • Work with residents in a professional, objective, ethical manner and resolve or respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Enable opportunities for community activities and committees promoting a neighborly community that works together for the good of all residents
